STS or Saudi Thoracic Society is a Society that is involved in promoting better practice in the in the field of thoracic diseases, encouraging research in the same field, and improving health education for the public about chest problems.

The Saudi Thoracic Society was established in 2002. The objectives of the Society are the advancement and promotion of knowledge of the respiratory system in health and disease. It shall strive to encourage research, improve clinical practice through teaching, increase awareness of health problems in the area and promote the exchange of knowledge among its members in Saudi Arabia. The specific aims of the Society are:

• Promoting and coordinating activities in the field of respiratory medicine
• Fostering research activities in the field of respiratory medicine
• Organizing and coordinating regular national and regional meetings
• Publishing a newsletter and a journal of international repute

The Annals of Thoracic Medicine: (ATM, ISSN 1817-1737) is the official publication of the Saudi Thoracic Society (STS). It features cutting edge clinical investigations in the multidisciplinary specialties of chest medicine, such as pulmonology, cardiology, thoracic surgery, transplantation, sleep and breathing, airways disease, and more. The journal also features basic science, special reports, case reports, board review questions, and more. Editorials and communications to the editor explore controversial issues and encourage further discussion by physicians dealing with chest medicine. The journal is published four times a year at the beginning of each quarter.

Attanafus Magazine: An Arabic Journal concerned about health education for the public and issued every 3 months.
